Robo-Tentacle will destroy us all! Aaarrghhh!

The New Scientist has a report on a robotic tentacle which, although claimed to be designed for the benefit of mankind, is almost certain to break free from its programming and run amok, destroying all humans in its path.

I was quite scared by your prophecy until I saw the video of the tentacle in action.

It looks more like a big version of one of those party blower things that get all soggy and break after a couple of squeaks.

THIS is an alien tentacle...
